Latest data for September 2014 show that conditions have tightened marginally compared with the previous month. This slight tightening trend has been in progress since around June 2014. Compared with a year ago, two of the constituent variables were showing a loosening of financial conditions, while the other three factors were indicating tighter financial conditions than had prevailed in September 2013.
