Latest data for October 2014 show that conditions have tightened marginally compared with the previous month. This slight tightening trend has been in progress since around June 2014. Compared with a year ago, only one of the constituent variables was showing a loosening of financial conditions, while the other four factors were indicating tighter financial conditions than had prevailed in October 2013.
