The monthly All-share Index return amounted to 3.25% in January 2015 after a 0.03% decline in December 2014. Of the major JSE sectors, seven were positive (some only marginally so) and two showed negative month-on-month returns. Consumer services and Technology fared the best with returns of 11.8% m/m and 7.5% m/m respectively. The worst performing sectors were Telecommunications and Oil & Gas with returns of –6.6% m/m and –1.8% m/m respectively.
