South African Equity Market (Monthly Report) - November 2015

The monthly All-share Index returned 7.7% month-on-month in October after a 0.5% increase was recorded in September 2015. All of the major JSE sectors recorded positive month-on-month returns, with the exceptions being Technology (-0.1%) and Telecommunications (-7%). Consumer Services showed the biggest increase of 12.4%, followed by Healthcare (8.2%) and Consumer Goods (8%). Other sectors recording positive monthly returns were Industrials (6.9%); Financials (6.8%); and even Resources (6.4%).
