South Africa Equity Market (Monthly Report) - January 2016

The monthly JSE All-share Index returned -1.5% month-on-month in December after a -3.8% decrease was recorded in November 2015. Most of the major JSE sectors recorded negative month-on-month returns, with the exception of Consumer Goods (3.5%). The biggest negative returns were recorded by Financials (-6.2%) and Technology (-6.2%), followed by Industrials (-5.4%).
