Various consumer confidence surveys report a significant improvement in sentiment. This improvement has recently also been boosted by the slight reduction in interest rates by the SA Reserve Bank. What is more, the Bank’s coincident business cycle indicator has been showing tentative signs of improvement since February 2017.
