The rand strengthened against all currencies in July 2018 compared with the previous month. The unweighted average change in the value of the rand amounted to +3.3%. Month-on-month, the rand appreciated most against the Chinese yuan (6.4%) and Japanese yen (4.5%). The rand was also stronger against the US dollar (3.4%), euro (3.4%), Swiss franc (3.3%) and British pound (4%).
