The monthly JSE All-share Index return declined by 1.9% month-on-month in December after a negative return of 0.4% m/m was recorded in November. Three of the eight major JSE sectors recorded positive month-on-month returns. These were: Consumer services (1.5%); Telecommunications (1.5%); and Technology (1.2%). Negative month-on-month returns were recorded by: Resources (-0.2%); Industrials (-2.5%); Consumer goods (-6.0%); Healthcare (-5.1%); and Financials (-3.4%).
