A mid slowing global growth and rising trade tensions, several central banks, including the US Federal Reserve, have been easing monetary policy. The Fed cut interest rates by 25 basis points in July. It is believed that the Fed may effect two further 25-basis-point cuts, possibly in November this year and in March 2020.
