Measured at a seasonally adjusted basis, the rand value of exports increased by 1.6% month-on-month in August 2019. Measured at a 3 months annualised basis, exports were 7.5% higher, while export growth over the past 12 months amounted to 6.7%. In dollar terms, exports were down 2.6% on a month ago but 2.6% higher measured at a 3-months annualised basis. Exports in dollar terms were 3.5% lower measured at a 12-months basis.
