Measured at a seasonally adjusted basis, the rand value of imports increased by 12.1% month- on-month in January 2025. Measured at a 3-months annualised basis, imports were 2.6% higher, while import growth over the past 12 months amounted to -4.0%.
Measured at a seasonally adjusted basis, the rand value of exports increased by 5.0% month- on-month in January 2025. Measured at a 3-months annualised basis, exports were 7.7% higher, while export growth over the past 12 months amounted to -4.1%.
